Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

Up to late yesterday police from the St Catherine South Division were searching for the killer/s as they probed the death of two farmers late Friday night.

The gruesome murders, which occurred in Red Ground, outside Old Harbour, St Catherine, have plunged the farming community into mourning.

Those killed were identified by police as farm manager Horace Williams, also known as 'Courtney', 42, and 58-year-old Joseph Blake both of Red Ground district.

The Old Harbour police reported that about 6 p.m., a worker discovered the men's bodies at the chicken farm where they work. The bodies were found with the legs bound and multiple stab wounds.

As news of the killings circulated throughout the community, curious residents converged on the scene. "He was a friend and a dedicated worker," Petricia Dupass, proprietor of the farm told THE STAR.

She said Williams was a long-time worker and started at age 18 after leaving school and was irreplaceable.

Other persons told THE STAR that the men were peaceful and they cannot understaond why anyone would want to bring harm to them.

The St Catherine south homicide unit said they have neither identified any suspects or a motive for the killings.
