What started out as a night of celebration, elegance, good music and good vibes came to an abrupt end, after a member of Mavado's entourage was involved in an altercation with an off duty police officer.

THE STAR arrived at around 11 p.m., on Sunday night, during the mixing of Djs Damian and Sliver Finger of Exclusive Sound, who played a number of old school hip hop selections.

The man of the moment Bounty Killer along with his entourage entered the Quad about 11:30 p.m., and proceeded to the GIP area where he socialised with the sea of music industry players, popping bottles of Hennessy which were at a subsidised price of $10,000.

At midnight, the crowd increased as persons from the music fraternity and loyal Bounty fans made their way to the dance floors, while others moved back and forth between the main floor and the GIP in an effort to get a taste of every aspect of the party.

At 1 a.m., Exclusive Sound turned up the selections a notch playing a segment dedicated to Buju Banton followed by another dedicated to Sizzla.

DJ Alonzo Hawk took over at 2 a.m., and rocked the now packed Quad with his gimmicks and rounded selections of soul, reggae and dancehall selections. He later made way for Sky Juice.

Sky Juice used his typical formula of playing vintage music such as God is standing by and I was born by the River, which got good response from the crowd who danced and sang to each selection.

delight of the audience

Sky Juice then paid respect to the man that everybody came out to see, Bounty Killer, and instantly had the crowd in pandemonium as he played Bounty Killer songs from as far back as 1993, "A me bring dem artiste ya from day one, ask him, a me a di real legend, ask anybody," he said much to the delight of the audience.

Elephant Man, who was partying with long time mentor Bounty Killer for most of the night, said the occasion was worthwhile. "Before Alliance there was Scare Dem so a far me and Harry Toddler a come from under the guidance of Bounty Killer suh wi affi show the appreciation," he said.

Selector Foota Hype also shared saying Bounty Killer is like a musical father to him so he feels like it's his father's birthday party. "As long as mi live mi affi respect Bounty Killer," he said.

The event was brought to an abrupt end just minutes after 4 a.m., after a man was allegedly shot by an off-duty police after and alleged altercation.

Some persons spotted among the GIP guests were Dr Carolyn Cooper, Corey Todd, Jah Vinci, Notnice, Sizzla, Sean Paul, D' Angel, Beenie Man, Jack Scorpio among others.
