Fitness trainer's surety extended |

|
A 42-year-old fitness trainer who has been accused of withdrawing more than $100,000 from his ex-lover's bank account, had his bail extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court. He is Carlton Simmonds from Erald Avenue, Kingston 11, who has been charged with simple larceny. Simmonds is to return to court on July 21, when the matter will be mentioned as the file is incomplete. Allegations are that on various dates between January 10 and April 26, 2008, Simmonds used the complainant's debit card to withdraw $103,000 without her knowledge or consent. If is alleged that the accused promised to repay the money; however, all attempts to do so have been futile. The matter was reported to the police and Simmonds was arrested and charged with simple larceny. |
