A no order was made in a matter involving a senior citizen who was charged with common assault in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.

She is 68-year-old Madeline Miller, tourism consultant, from a Kingston 17 address.

Allegations are that on April 26, the 60-year-old complainant was at her home cutting the limbs of some bougainvillaea plants which were protruding from Miller's yard on to her property.

It is alleged that Miller and the complainant got into an argument over the plants.

It is further alleged that the accused used her garden hose to spray water over the wall in the direction of the complainant, causing the complainant's upper body to get wet.

The matter was reported to the police and accused was charged.

In the meantime, a no order was made in the case when Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey was informed by the investigating officer that the accused has since cut her protruding plants to the satisfaction of the complainant; who is her neighbour.

RM Pusey then told both women to go home and have tea together.
