Accused murderer remanded again
The 27-year-old man who has been charged with the murder of his female companion and her mother in Rosemount district, Golden Spring, St Andrew, last month, was again remanded when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

The dead women are 66-year-old Eucelyn Gordon and Topozion Gordon, 28.

The accused, O'Brian Brissett, is to return to court for mention on June 17 as the post-mortem is still outstanding.

Allegations are that the accused and his girlfriend were at home when she received a call from a male friend. He became upset and she left the home.

Upon returning, an argument developed and the accused allegedly destroyed her cellular phone.

Further allegations are that he became violent and used a pickaxe and hoe to chop his girlfriend to death. When her mother tried to intervene, he then turned his wrath on her.

After the incident, he reportedly ran to a nearby house, locked himself inside, and threatened suicide.

This led some alarmed residents to quickly envelop the house, as they were adamant that he would receive their version of justice.

The police were alerted and the man was taken into custody.
