Star Tell Me Pastor

No good shall come of it

Dear Pastor,

Eighteen months ago I was introduced to a man who was visiting the island. I met him two days before he left Jamaica. The day he was leaving, he gave me $6,000 and told me that he was sorry he didn't meet me before.

We started a long-distance relationship, and we called each other every day. I only talk to him while I am at work during the day because I am living with my boyfriend, but he doesn't know that. When I leave work, I take out the chip and put a different one in my phone that the guy doesn't have. So, he can't reach me at nights. He asked me why we can't talk at nights and I told him that when I am at home, I go to bed early because I am very tired.

I am fretting because I have been lying to this man, and now he is coming back to Jamaica and he wants us to spend a week together at a hotel. I am so worried because I am living with my babyfather and I can't go and spend time with another man.

Pastor, how do I get out of this problem? This guy sends me anything I ask him for.

P., St Ann

Dear P.,

Tell the man the truth. Tell him you have been lying to him. Tell him you saw him as gullible and you took advantage of that.

Make sure you tell him not all Jamaican women are deceivers, like you. Many speak the truth and are trustworthy.

Pastor
