Cavalier still in hunt - Harbour View maintain six-point lead in U-20 League

Claro Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League champions Cavalier reignited their hopes of qualifying for the premier league with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Rivoli in their Jamaica Football Federation All-Island Confederation play-off on Sunday.

With two of the four teams gaining promotion to the top flight, Cavalier remained in third spot on seven points, two behind joint leaders Highgate and Seba who played to a 0-0 draw.

Tomorrow, Cavalier will travel to Gray's Inn to play Highgate at 3:30 p.m. while Rivoli United host Seba United at the Spanish Town Prison Oval.

Claro KSAFA Under-20 Confed League

Harbour View maintained their six-point lead atop the Claro Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Under-20 Confederation League, with a 3-0 win over Greenwich Town last Saturday.

Harbour View, with their 10th win from 11 games, moved to 31 points, six more than second-place Tivoli Gardens who edged Boys' Town 2-1 to be on 25 points.

Greenwich remained second from bottom on six points, while Boys' Town stayed fourth on 21 points.

Arnett Gardens remained in third spot on 23 points, despite their game with Cooreville Gardens not being played.

Barbican registered the biggest win of the round, thumping Central Kingston 6-1, and moved into sixth spot on 14 points. Central Kingston are 10th on eight points.

Cavalier and Bull Bay battled to a 2-2 draw with Cavalier, inching to 12 points in seventh spot and Bull Bay firmly at the bottom on six points. Real Mona had their rest week and remained in fifth place with 19 points.

Claro St Andrew Under-20

Duhaney Park and Olympic Gardens joined Seaview Gardens at the top of the Claro KSAFA Under-20 St Andrew division on 21 points.

Seaview who started the day in front, had their rest week and slipped to third after Duhaney Park whipped Meadforest 4-1 and Olympic Gardens trounced Shortwood United 4-0.

However, Duhaney Park are on 21 points from nine games, while both Olympic Gardens and Seaview Gardens have played 10 apiece.

In other games, Maxfield Park clipped Molynes United 2-1 and consolidated fourth spot on 18 points. Molynes are sixth with 11 points.

The games between August Town/Red Hills and Pembroke Hall/Constant Spring were not played.

Constant Spring are seventh on 10 points, followed by Red Hills with nine, August Town on eight and Pembroke Hall at the bottom of the 11-team league, with three points.

Claro KSAFA Kingston Division

Rae Town whipped Mountain View 3-0 to maintain their six-point lead atop the eight-team league with 18 points.

Brown's Town are second on 13 points after dismissing New Kingston 1-0. Santos slipped to third on 13 points after their game with Swallowfield was not played.

Rockfort clobbered Allman/ Woodford 8-2 and consolidated fourth spot on 10 points, five more than fifth-place Allman/Woodford on five points.

Mountain View are sixth with five points ahead of Swallowfield on four and bottom team New Kingston with three points.

The leagues continue today with a full slate of games.
