53-y-o man charged with murder |

A 53-year-old man has been charged for the death of a waiter whose body was fished from the Martha Brae River in Trelawny on Sunday. He is Fitz Gordon, a craft vendor of a Perth Town in Trelawny. Gordon has has been charged with the murder of Nickuma Nicholas Frue, 25, of Martha Brae. According to reports from the police, about 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, Frue went to the river to fetch water when he was approached by Gordon an argument developed between them. altercation It is alleged that during the altercation, Gordon reportedly used a machete to chop Frue who then fell into the water. The police were alerted and a search launched for Frue. His body was retrieved about 2:00 p.m. Gordon was later handed over to the police by a Justice of the Peace. He was formally charged after a question and answer session, and he is expected to appear in court later this week.
