Forty-nine-year-old businessman Orville Chance, otherwise called 'Jerky', of Bay Farm Villa, Kingston 11, was last night shot dead by unknown assailants at his business place in Gregory Park, Portmore, St Catherine.

According to reports from the Caymanas Gardens police, about 11:50 p.m., residents heard explosions and summoned them. Upon their arrival, Chance was found lying in a pool of blood inside his business place, with gunshots wounds to his body. He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
