The continued cooperation among detectives from the Kingston Western and Central divisions yesterday morning led to the arrest and charge of a man at Charles Street in downtown, Kingston, as well as the seizure of two illegal firearms and several rounds of ammunition.

Charged with illegal possession of firearm is Tajay Stern.

Reports reaching THE PORTMORE STAR are that about 1:30 a.m., a team of officers from the Kingston Central Division was conducting an operation on Charles Street when they seized a Glock 9mm pistol with fifteen 9mm cartridges. Stern was subsequently arrested and charged.

A team of officers from the Kingston Western Division then went to Stern's house on Chestnut Lane, where another Glock 9mm pistol, along with 17 rounds of 9mm cartridges, was seized.
