Rev Al Miller trial delayed again

The firearm trial of popular clergyman Reverend Al Miller was further delayed in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

The trial was rescheduled because Miller's attorney was absent.

Miller, who is facing the charge of negligence in relation to the theft of his licensed firearm, is to return to court on June 15 for trial.

Allegations are that in January, Reverend Miller parked his vehicle on Shortwood Road, in St Andrew, and left to conduct business nearby.

It is further alleged that on his return, it was discovered that a pouch which contained his firearm was missing.

Reverend Miller reported the incident to the police, who later charged him with negligence.

He is out on $100,000 bail.
