![]() Simone 'Camaley' Hamilton - File Last year's second-place winner in the Digicel Rising Stars competition, Camaley, real name Simone Hamilton, has been hospitalised. The singer with a cane, who thrilled audiences across Jamaica during the competition, may have suffered a stroke. According to a family member, Camaley has been in the hospital since Sunday and was having non-stop headaches. She was also said to have been bleeding in the head and the left side of her body was paralysed. When contacted, Camaley was unable to do an interview as she said, "My head is pounding right now so call me back tomorrow." In an interview last year, Camaley spoke about being paralysed. "For several years I was paralysed from my waist down. However, a couple months ago I started taking Vitamin B12 injections which have helped as I can now stand. But my doctors say the recovery process may take several more years," she said. |
