False spiritual vision |

Dear Pastor,
I am seeking your opinion on a matter. I am a married man. My wife is a Christian but I am not. I visit church with her from time to time, but I am not much of a church man. Now I am totally turned off from that church because whenever my wife and I have disagreements, she says her church sisters saw it in a vision. She is accusing me of having an affair with one of my co-workers who I take home sometimes after work. This woman and I have nothing going on between us. Yet, these so-called Christians said they got a vision that we are having an affair. My wife believes them. This woman doesn't even call me after working hours. We have never gone on a date. I don't have anything against the pastor. He is a young man who recently came there as their pastor. This group of women, who seem to be more spiritual than everybody else, may cause my marriage of 25 years to break up. My wife claims they see things. I am so cut up about it. P., Dear P., This is a case of bad interpretation of vision. Whatever these women might have seen, your co-worker and yourself were not in that vision. Let not your heart be troubled. some persons who claim to have visions do lie and misinterpret dreams and visions and cause trouble. They behave as if they are on a higher spiritual plain, but they are pretenders. Your wife should take a good look at some of these women who are having these visions. Often such women have never been married and some are divorced. They spent most of their unhappy days bashing men. These are lonely women. Go easy on your wife. She means well. She is, evidently, a little jealous. Assure her that all is well. Pastor |
