Petrojam, Scotia clash in Business House opener |

The 2011 Western Sports-sponsored Kingston & St Andrew Business House Football season will officially kick off tomorrow with the traditional dress parade and a double-header at the Red Stripe Oval, starting at 1 p.m. Twenty teams, inclusive of three returning, National Com-mercial Bank (NCB), Island Special Constabulary Force (ISCF) and Jamaica Customs, will participate in this year's competition. In the opening Division II match starting at 2 p.m., National Housing Trust (NHT) will play NCB and in the feature game at 4 p.m., defending Division I champion Petrojam will tackle Scotiabank Group. The Raymond Quallo-coached Petrojam, who entered the competition six years ago, are enjoying a rich vein of form in Business House Football. They won the division II title in 2009 and in their first year in year in division I, were also victorious. The team will rely on captain Aphas Bernard, David Stultz, Omar Francis, Jothan Watson, Cornelius Simms, Yuan Blake, Marvin Powell and goalkeeper Damion Campbell for victory. a successful start The Calvert Fitzgerald-coached Scotiabank Group will be looking to make a successful start to this season and he will be banking on Ajuran Brown, Donovan Hibbert, Alvin Rutherford, Norwayne Knight, Akeem Themstead, Nicholas McCreath, Elgin Mitchell, Damion Gordon and goalkeeper Damion Crooks for victory. The competition will continue on Monday, May 16 with two matches in division II. Jamaica Fire Brigade play ISCF at Molynes playing field, starting at 4 p.m. and JNBS tackle ACS at Barbican, starting at 6 p.m. |
