Jealous lover fined |

A man charged with assaulting his girlfriend pleaded not guilty in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. Trevor Hunter, who was charged with unlawful wounding and assault occasioning bodily harm, was fined $15,000 for the offence. Allegations are that the accused said his girlfriend stayed out later than she was supposed to when she went to a party with her friends and returned home at 2:30 a.m. An argument reportedly developed which escalated into a fight. During the fight Hunter injured the complainant. Before the fine was imposed, Hunter lashed out at the complainant's partying. "Yuh like go out late pon road suh people can laugh affa mi, don't?" |
