Lazer Stepps - Contributed Stage name: Lazer Stepps Real name: Lyndon Hull Birth month: October How did you get started in the music business? It all began years ago when a good friend of mine heard me deejaying for fun and encouraged me to take it serious and pursue a career as a deejay. What has been your most memorable moment in the business yet? Performing at a dance on Bass Odyssey and getting huge forwards for every tune I did, this was an overwhelming experience. What have you been up to lately? I have been very busy promoting my latest single called Good Body Gal. This is a combination tune I did with my good friend Unicorn. Right now, this tune is one of the hottest songs in the dances. We just shot a video for it which will be released soon. Do you look up to any specific artiste and why? I look up to artistes like Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton and Bounty Killer, they are some of the best lyricists ever in the dancehall game. The unique styles they possess have made them legends in the dancehall arena. Are you happy with the way things are going for your musical career right now? I am very happy, I have to give thanks because my music is getting out there to the people, so I won't complain. Do you have any advice for young artistes coming up? Be a leader and not a follower, set positive trends and be innovative. Also always believe in yourself and don't let anyone break your spirit. Where do you see yourself in the future? I have no idea because the future is in the hands of God, but I am sure the future will place me in a good spot. |
