Six held for boy's kidnapping

Six persons are to be interrogated in connection with Tuesday's abduction of a three-year-old boy in St James.

One of the suspects is said to be a former employee of the child's father.

It is reported that the child, a student at the Mount Alvernia Preparatory, has since been found unharmed, and has been reunited with his parents.

On Tuesday, the boy, a son of a businessman, was taken from the Mount Alvernia Preparatory and Kindergarten School in Montego Bay.

It is reported that when the boy's mother showed up at the school to collect him just after 1:30 p.m., she was told a man had already picked him up.

In the meantime, THE STAR understands that security at the Mount Alvernia Preparatory and Kindergarten School has been boosted.
