No bail for brothers on conspiracy charge

Two brothers accused of conspiring to rob a portable hotel safe were remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

They are Dwayne and Sean Deleon of Spring Head Aroutessa, St Mary. Both return to court on April 21 when the matter will be mentioned as the file is incomplete.

Sean Deleon is charged with unlawful possession of property, making a false declaration, uttering forged documents and forgery. His brother is charged with unlawful possesion of property and conspiracy to process forged documents.

Allegations are that on March 31 a man entered the complainant's hotel room and broke into a portable safe, removing money, a driver's licence and a handgun.

It is alleged that on the same day the stolen items were taken to Dwayne, who works at the resort. The items were later hidden.

A report was made and following police investigations, the brothers were detained and later charged.
