Got started in the business by voicing my first official tune for Big Yard Records in 2006. I signed to Bombrush Records in 2008 and released my first hit, From A Place. What has been your most memorable moment in the business? My most memorable moment in the business was being on tour with T.O.K in the States and seeing everyone in the crowd sing my tune From A Place, line for line. What have you been up to lately? Just released a new single titled The Forgottens, along with the video, which has been getting great response throughout Jamaica and overseas. Also, just voiced a combination with Tarrus Riley which should be released sometime this year. Unu fi keep unu eyes open for the 'Spit Fire Riddim' that will soon be released by Bombrush Records along with my tune named Party. Do you look up to any specific artiste and why? Mi rate all the originators cah a yute like we a go forward and tek it to the next level. Are you happy with the way things are going for your
musical career right now? Mi have a saying 'Always be happy but never be satisfied.' Mi is a yute coming from nowhere, making something out of nothing, so mi have to give thanks for my progress, but mi also realise there is no need for celebration cause mi still haven't come close to achieving my full potential. Do you have any advice for young artistes coming up? My advice to all young artiste is to love what you do and don't get caught up with the rat race. From you love the music everything else will fall into place. Where do you see yourself in the future? Mi see myself going anywhere the Almighty leads me, none a we can predict the future but mi would a love to be as successful as mi can be in what mi set out to do. |
