Dear Pastor,

It is a long time I wanted to write to you but I just got the chance. I am 31 and in love with my brother-in-law. He is divorced. My sister is married to his brother. He is 40-year-old, and he has two children. He is living in America. I don't have any children.

From the first day I met him, I feel for him, but I didn't know he was admiring me too. He went back to America without saying a word to me. A few days after, he called and said that he could not sleep because I was on his mind. And he was coming back to Jamaica to see me, and wanted to know if I would marry him. I told him I couldn't give him an answer right away.

I told my sister about it and she said I should have told him I was not interested because she is married to his brother. I told her that he knows already. She is not pleased. I don't know what to do.

Pastor, it has been six months now we have been, and I am loving him more and more. I can't see why we should not get married. So, please for your advice.

Dear E.L.,

Your sister should not try to stand in your way. She should allow you to make your own decision. If this man makes you happy, go for it. I see no reason why you should not marry him. However, I know many people who would not agree with me.
