The Digicel Premier League final day showdown between leaders Tivoli Gardens and chasing second-place Boys' Town remains a distinct possibility with both teams securing crucial wins in yesterday's round of games.

Boys' Town got the better of Portmore United 2-1 at Ferdie Neita Park, courtesy of Marvin Morgan's 60th minute strike, after Fabian Francis had put the visitors ahead in the 20th minute and Kevin Skyers equalised for the home team in the 45th. Tivoli also had to wait till the second half to secure a valuable three points, and once again it was striker Navion Boyd who booted home in the 54th minute.

The result moved Tivoli to 68 points, three ahead of the Red Brigade with two matches remaining, and the final fixture of the season a meeting between the two at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex. In the day's other top-six games, Harbour View thrashed Village 4-0, on the back of goals from Jahmali Spence (42nd), Romario Campbell (45th), Fabian Taylor (77th ), Richard Edwards (90th ).

At the other end of the table Humble Lion kept their slim hope of survival alive with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Clarendon neighbours Sporting Central. Omando McLeod got the home team off to a flyer in the 1st minute, but LeVaughn Williams brought Sporting level. However, forward Kevin Mighty netted the crucial goal for the home team late in the second half, to carry Humble Lion to 40 points.

The Clarendon team, however, remained in the relegation zone as St Georges continued their superb late season form with a 2-0 win over Arnett Gardens. Donovan Davis netted the opening goal for the home team in the 39th minute and Girvon Brown doubled the lead in the 48th. The win moved Georges, who struggled for most of the season, to 45 points, one away from safety, with two games remaining. Reno also pulled away from the drop zone following their 1-0 win over Benifca, which put the St Ann team on the verge of relegation. Arnett Gardens will have to be cautious in their remaining games, as the loss to the Portland team left them only four points away from the relegation zone.
