35-y-o woman killed

Thirty-five-year-old Angella Davis, of Merry Brook Drive, Avon Park, Spanish Town, St Catherine, was shot and killed at her home yesterday by unknown assailants.

Reports from the Spanish Town police are that, about 3:45 a.m., Davis was at home with family members when armed men kicked in the door and demanded money. When their demands were not met, they opened fire hitting her and stole several household appliances before leaving.

The police were summoned, the crime scene processed and the body removed to the morgue.

Investigations continue.

BSI, INDECOM probe fatal shooting

The Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) and the Independent Commission of Enquiry (INDECOM) have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a man only known as "Soljie", by the police on Tuesday night.

Reports are that the incident occurred about 11 p.m., in Bucknor district, Clarendon. An AK-47 Assault Rifle and a shotgun were also seized during the incident.

Investigations continue.
