Bearer's bail extended

A Bearer charged with unlawfully wounding the mother of his child had his bail extended until May 4 when he appeared in court yesterday.

He is 25-year-old Jason Scott from a Kingston 16 address.

Allegations are that on March 27, about 12:35 a.m., the complainant was at her home in bed when she was told by the accused to go to her mother's house because someone was coming to change at the house.

The complainant complied, got out of bed and started to get dressed when a quarrel developed because she was not moving at the speed the accused desired.

He then pushed her out of the house and a fight ensued causing the accused to punch the complainant in the left side of her face which resulted in swelling and pain.

Further reports are that Scott continued his assault on the complainant hitting her head several times in a wall, after which he pushed her on the ground where he continued the physical assault.

The matter was later reported to the police and he was arrested.
