Gully Squad artiste Savage believes that his recent signing with the Jah Snow Cone Records label will help him to make headway into the music industry.

The 27-year-old St Andrew Technical past student said he is very happy to be working with Jah Snow Cone, who he described as one of Jamaica's most talented producers.

"Is a great feeling, enuh. Is a big label because Jah Snow Cone a one of the four biggest producers pon the island. Mi get the link through Flexx. Him carry mi guh di studio and him a seh, Savage, mi ago mek yuh know Snow Cone. Mi sing three tune fi im and dem a seh mi bad and dem ago do some work wid mi when dem return from foreign," said Savage.

Among his recent songs include Nuh Tek Chat on DJ Frass' Taxi Stand rhythm and Doan Diss Nuh Man on Jah Snow Cone's Dumpling and Butter rhythm.

Savage said that last year was relatively good for him as songs such as Graveyard on Stephen McGregor's Catalog rhythm and Mi Nah on Jah Snow Cone's Ital Stew rhythm were very popular. The video for Mi Nah was also recently shot.

"Right now, di career a rise an a flourish. Mi see miself as one a di best artistes inna Jamaica. Mi a do some really strong street songs because the street anthems, a me response fi dem. From a gangsta ting a gangsta ting an wi have the girl ting lock too," said Savage.

He is adamant that although he has signed with Jah Snowcone Records, his heart still resides on the gullyside.

"Mavado dem pave di way fi mi suh anyting di Gully Squad haffi deal wid, Savage a step too," he said.
