A 42-year-old St Catherine woman who is accused of failing to leave the Norman Manley International Airport, even after she was given strict orders to do so, had her bail extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magis-trate's Court on Friday.

She is Dionne Stewart, who has been charged with failing to leave the airport. Stewart is to return to court on May 18 for trial.

Allegations are that on March 25, about 6 p.m., the police received reports from personnel at the Cayman Airways check-in counter that passengers about to board a flight were being harassed by the accused.

The complainant was allegedly trying to convince random passengers to carry an extra piece of luggage to The Cayman Islands for her.

It is reported that after being warned by the police on several occasions that her actions were illegal and she should desist, the accused continued, and as a result was ordered to leave the airport.

It is alleged that the accused, who failed to comply with the instructions from the police, was later whisked away to the nearby Norman Manley airport police station where she was charged.

"Yuh can't stop mi, and mi nah stop do mi business because mi a businesswoman," the accused reportedly told the police.
