Western Jamaica showed a renewed appreciation for reggae and dancehall when they warmly embraced headline acts who gave them spectacular performances on the Irie FM In Di Area Roadshow on Friday.

From Lucea to Sandy Bay in Hanover, to Montego Bay in St James, the Irie FM In Di Area tour fed hungry patrons with quality entertainment that is synonymous with the radio station's previous roadshows.

Budding reggae star Protoje had an opportunity to tease his growing fan base with his rich collage of musical hits that appear on his debut 7 Year Itch album.

"I must say I am grateful for the opportunity to spread the music, and Irie FM has provided a great platform for me to connect with the people through my music. The tours have allowed me to perform at places I would not get to perform, so I am grateful for the chance to continue the flow of good music, and the vibe is great," the musician revealed.

He showed his unyielding love of his homeland when he performed JA, which that received huge responses from the diverse audience in the three towns. He stirred few Arguments as he professed his Rasta Love to the crowd who did not seem to mind and sang along with his tunes word for word.

In his usual energetic persona, dancehall sensation Khago was a hit on the tour as he revelled in the delight of his fans who seemed hungry for more after each song.

The Nah Sell Out entertainer made it clear that he would not forsake his friends as he did Nah Sell Out Part 2, which had the crowd in a frenzy throughout his closing performance. With White Ts, Daddy You Gone, Caah Cool,among several other hits, this great performer pumped energy into the Irie FM In Di Area tour that allowed his presence to be felt even after he left the venues.

No matter what time of the day it is, whether Night or Day, highly charged G-Whizz underscored why the business of entertainment can make his Life Sort Out. With his soothing yet powerful voice, G-Whizz made it clear that he is no longer an underdog in music but one who continues to engage the crowd through his superb vocals and presence.

Self-proclaimed bad gal Ce'Cile gave a brief performance that left patrons wanting more while Mixing Lab showed musical prowess as the 'human beat box' engaged the crowd and had them sing aloud to the songs from popular music beats he did with his mouth.

It was not funny business as Courts' ambassadors Ity and Fancy Cat along with entertainer Ce'Cile toured with the Irie FM In Di Area team along with the rest of the Courts crew last Friday.
