With the help of a few artistes, the Irie FM In Di Area tour invaded Manchester last Saturday. Mandeville was the first stop, then Christiana and Spaldings. At all three stops, a sizeable crowd gathered to watch performances from the Demolition dancers and artistes such as Protoje, Romain Virgo, Chan Dizzy, Liquid, Timberlee, Gyptian and Mr G. Giveaways from JPS, Courts, THE STAR and KFC were also done. Chan Dizzy entertained the crowd with songs such as Hello Badmind, Guh Hard An Dun, No Sah, All Dem A Chat and Nuh Strange Face, for which he received forwards. Liquid was solid with Inna Di Middle, Walk And Wine and Wifey Walk Out and Protoje gave a good account of himself through Roll, Dread, J.A. and Rasta Love. It was Romain Virgo, however, who had the ladies screaming upon his entry to the stage. In Mandeville during Mi Caan Sleep he said, "Mi waan hear Mandeville a sing out right now." And they did. He 'bigged up' the hard-working people before going into Who Feels It Knows It, Taking You Home and Wanna Go Home. Timberlee showed the crowd why she is "the general fi di hot gal army" and Mr G's stage presence was 'swaggerific'. Gyptian managed to hold the ladies as his selections were met with screams from them.
