Chaka Demus, Pliers to release new album

Chaka Demus and Pliers are busy at work on their upcoming album which is soon to be released. They are also enjoying success from their recent song, I'll Take You There, which has been enjoying good rotation on local and overseas stations.

"We are currently working on what might be one of the best reggae albums in Jamaica. The kids and the elders will love it. We haven't named it as yet, though, because we have two or three songs to finish up," said Pliers.

On the album, Pliers said fans can expect a variety of musical sounds.

"It's gonna be full of variety and full of spice. Every different kind of flavour will be on it, many different types of music," he said.

He also said that one of the tracks from the album, California One Night Stand, has been getting good reviews all over the world.

"So far, the people a talk about it all over the world, especially in Hawaii dem a give it a good vibes over there," he said.

They are preparing for a mini tour in Europe in April and promise fans a stronger presence in Jamaica.

Pliers will celebrate his birthday this Friday with fans and family at 7 Cynthia Avenue, Edgewater, Portmore, in a karaoke style party.

"Wi ago create a likkle fun vibes. Nuff artistes like Richie Spice, Anthony B, Fantan Mojah, whole heap a artistes a pass through. Wi a build a happy and nice vibe this Friday," he said.
