With a night of strong competition, deejay Ishane managed to stamp his performance into the memory of many with his Black song that got forwards throughout the audience.

Held on Saturday night, Ishane gave an excellent closing performance, earning himself forwards from the crowd at The STAR-sponsored Magnum Kings and Queens Competition.

Calling him the "epiphany of young talent", judge Miss KItty, said Ishane did everything right, while Professor Nuts said he was a good performer who had raised the bar for the show.

Prior to Ishane, other contestants gave good performances with Sashae kicking off the night with Haffi Mek Di Paper. For judge Scatta Burrell, Sashae never owned the song, but got stronger as she reached the second part. Miss Kitty explained that Sashae was versatile and unpredictable and regarded her as a good performer.

Singer Leon Lewis found favour with the judges as Miss Kitty liked his powerful voice and commanding presence while Professor Nuts said, "I like di composure a di yute lyrics, di flow is so accurate and yuh full of confidence."

For Latty Fabulous who followed, Professor Nuts loved her style and 'swagga' saying, "yuh nuh come to ramp wid nobody." Guest judge, Downsound Records Joe Bogdanovich, thought Fabulous had a very good presence.

Jemineye earned himself praise for his performance as Bogdanovich said, "you really know how to take advantage of this show, obviously the crowd loves you." Scatta commented that Jemineye's vocabulary was huge and he would encourage people to go to their dictionaries to understand his lyrics.

Michaela came out strong singing Treat A Lady, which the judges loved. Scatta said, "I appreciate your strong, confident voice, yuh deliver strong and effortless, you really know how to settle on a riddim and your key is on point, everything was okay, you stepped up your performance."

Specialist came out with a good song, Juggle, starting off well but went a little off key as he closed the song. Professor Nuts commented that he loved the song but said Specialist needed to control his voice from getting too high.

Ms Platinum performed I'm So Sexy in an accented voicewhich didn't go down well with the crowd. Miss Kitty said she needed to work on her breath control and her stage performance, but that the use of the English accent helped to make an impression on the audience.

For Point Blankk who performed Who Dah Yute Deh, the judges weren't positive - they were seeing his true potential and personality, with Scatta giving him tips on how to make his song better, adding that despite his song arrangement he still brought his performance to the stage.

Makarie came out declaring herself as the female version of Vybz Kartel to which she proved her worth to the crowd who cheered at her lyrics. Scatta commented, "yuh put yuh lyrics together that a six- year-old can listen and understand, your lyrics are effective."

Harry Toddler finished the night's entertainment, which had started with fashion from Richie Drenz. The contestants that were eliminated are Fireflames, Tishanti, Kurrency and L.E.A.D.
