D'Angel birthday brings out the smiles |

|
Hasani Walters, STAR Writer
The ear to ear grins present on her face made it clear that birthday girl D'Angel was having a blast at her party held at her Russell Heights home. It was also the birthday of her nephew Dimitri. Friends and family all came out to support and celebrate with D'Angel and they all seemed to be enjoying the night, especially her son Marco-Dean, who moonwalked at every chance he got and was being chased around the poolside by his father. A couple happy birthdays sung (one at a time) by friends G-Whizz and Aisha Davis, as well as one from her husband, Beenie Man, and a special tribute by Ms Platinum, an entrant in this year's Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition, seemed to do the trick for D'Angel. After her sister blessed the cake and it was cut, Nadine Sutherland offered some profound words about how much D'Angel reminded her of herself in her vulnerable times and that she wanted so much to help her but did not know her. Fate put them on the same flight for an overseas show, however, and the two got the chance to 'reason'. Nadine also told her how much she admires and respects her as a mother and wife, pointing out that she could see how much she loved her son and husband. Later, songs from entertainers such as Beenie Man, D'Angel, Khago, Vybz Kartel, Mavado, I-Octane and Konshens kept the vibe alive until persons made their exit. The décor, music and party rentals for the event were all done by Omar Productions.
