Brothers implicated in man's death get bail extension
The two brothers implicated in last October's killing of a man had their bails further extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, until May 30.

A preliminary enquiry was also ordered to be conducted by the court.

Kjell and Norvell White are charged in connection with the October 24 killing of Okieno Haughton in Finger Post district in Cavaliers, St Andrew.

Allegations are that Haughton was travelling in a robot taxi when the car developed mechanical problems. He was standing outside the car when he was attacked by men from the area.

armed with a machete

Haughton was reportedly seen running along the Cavaliers main road with two men chasing him, one armed with a machete and the other with a piece of board.

A white Nissan motor car believed to be owned by Kjell with about five men aboard, then reportedly joined in the pursuit.

The victim was later chopped by the men and chased into a gully where he died. The men later escaped.

Following investigations, the brothers were charged.
