No progress in double-murder case

Detectives from the May Pen CIB say they are yet to make a breakthrough with their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting deaths of a man and a youth at Bucks Common, May Pen, Clarendon, on Wednesday night.

Those killed have been identified by police as Omar Wignal, 30, and Raman Stewart, 16, both of Bucks Common.

Reports reaching THE WEEKEND STAR from the May Pen police are that about 7:30 p.m., the two were standing at a shop in the community when they were approached by two men who opened fire hitting them. Wignal and Stewart died on the spot.

The police were summoned, crime scene processed and the bodies removed to the morgue.

Investigations continue.
