'What Did I Do' doing well on US airwaves

Baby Chris - Hasani Walters

Five Stars Recording Inc artiste Baby Chris' hit single, What Did I Do, got added to the playlist of six major urban stations in the United States on the weekend, racking up a total of more than 600 spins in the past 10 days.

"The first week, we had 244 spins and then we added 362 spins this week, plus we have four more stations which have added the song to the playlist. Chris is gaining momentum, things are looking up," Clifton Lawrence, CEO of 5 Stars Recording Inc, said.

The single What Did I Do, which is on producer Sean 'Seanizzle' Reid's Split Personality rhythm, hit number nine on the HYPE TV VTX charts last week. The music video for What Did I Do is getting major rotation on RE TV, CVM TV, Negril TV and HYPE TV.

major shows

In the last month, he has appeared on several major radio stations such as Power 105.1 with Garry G, 95.9, Fire Redz, Linkage Radio, Royal Radio, and BCAP Network. Baby Chris toured briefly with I-Octane where they made stops in places such as Texas, California, Chicago, Miami, New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Brooklyn, and Bronx.

The artiste hinted that his management team has been getting calls for appearances on major shows to share billing with pop acts such as Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston, and a spot on the annual Best of the Best concert in Miami, Florida.

"What Did I Do is the song that is doing it for me right now. Each week, we are getting added to more and more stations, the song is generating a big buzz on major urban stations in the US beginning next week and it's a tremendous feeling since we are doing this as an independent label, 5 Stars to the world," he said.

He will also be heading to England in May with I-Octane, Zamunda and T'Nez for performances in London, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool.

Baby Chris' recent songs include a collaboration with Versatile, Grades Wake Me Up, on Seanizzle's Dutty Gamez rhythm.

"The ting amp up right now," he said.
