Jamaica's premier oldies party series, Heineken Good Times, will once again make its much-anticipated return to western Jamaica, as Montego Bay will be transformed into 'Funky Town' tomorrow night.

Montego Bay's party hot spot, Pier One, will play host to the retro event that will be making its fourth stop in the tourist capital.

After the hugely successful Good Times 'Love Train' party in Sr Andrew recently, the organisers have decided to give fans from the western side of the island a taste of the retro vibe that 'shelled down' the Chinese Benevolent Association in February.

According to organisers, The Quorum, Montego Bay, has been and still is the entertainment capital and Good Times has always provided good clean entertainment for the many fans in the West.

"Going back to Mobay is part of the brand's plan for the party as we seek to keep the retro-party vibe alive right across Jamaica," explained Jerome Hamilton of The Quorum.

The fun and excitement is expected to turn up tenfold in Montego Bay as best-of-the-best retro selectors are set to rebrand Mobay funky town as patrons will be kept 'movin' and 'groovin' with lots of energy, similar to the hit single from the 1980's mega disco hit by Lipps Inc.

Since 1996, Good Times has been touted as the premiere oldies event on the entertainment calendar, bar none. The grand-daddy of all retro events, Heineken Good Times is known for non-stop music, free-flowing bars and hospitality service, as well as excellent security which has become a staple at all the events.

Good Times has staged events outside of Kingston during its 14-year history. The party has made the trek to Ocho Rios, Montego Bay, Mandeville and May Pen. The party series has also gone international with stagings in Miami, New York and Grenada.

Over the years, the promoters of Heineken Good Times, The Quorum, have not only made it a point of duty to make their loyal patrons enjoy themselves, but also making a meaningful contribution to society. Each year, the Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre has benefited from proceeds from the events.

Heineken Good Times Funky Town takes place tomorrow night at Pier One in Montego Bay. Admission is $800 at the gate.
