Star Tell Me Pastor

I need a woman

Dear Pastor,

I hope that you are fine. I know God is always blessing you. I listen to your nightly programme all the time. I have also read your column in the Star, and I have seen where you have helped a lot of people.

My problem is this. I am a 46-year-old man who is trying to find a very nice and quiet Christian-minded woman to settle down with and make a life. She must be easy to get along with. I do not want a bully or a woman with a lot of children. Sometimes stepchildren cause problems in a relationship.

I am a very easygoing person who is living alone in a family house, but I have no problem because my relatives are living abroad. I used to be in the United States, but now I am home.

Please help me to find this person. She doesn't have to pay rent, but I prefer if she is working. I need a companion to share things with.

I know with your help and the Lord I will find someone who I can go to church with on Sundays

M.W., St Andrew

Dear M.W.,

Your problem is: you are looking for a Christian-minded woman, but not a Christian. That tells me you are not a Christian. You do not want a woman with many children, but you have not said how many children you have. You are 46 years old. You don't have your own home. You are living in a family house. You claim your relatives are living abroad, so you do not have any problem living there. If you were living in America, what has brought you back to Jamaica so soon, and what type of work are you doing?

I am not at all impressed with your letter, because at 46, you should not have any difficulty in finding a woman. You claim you need a woman to share things with, what things?

Pastor
