Stir It Up went all out for its 10th anniversary held at the Palisadoes Go-Kart Track on Saturday night. The retro party celebrated a decade of bringing music to the people at a larger-than-normal venue which saw a huge turnout. THE STAR arrived around midnight and was greeted by scantily clad girls. There were tents and sitting areas littered throughout the venue, with a large dance floor in the centre. Renaissance was holding an easy reggae vibe before Kurt Riley really began to stir up patrons. Riley had the crowd rocking when he switched gears after 1 a.m., with songs like Reggae Night, Electric Boogie, Sweet Dreams, Madonna's Material Girl and Michael Jackson's Beat It which had persons doing some serious dancing. Soon, Riley got persons moving to soca hits like Swinging Engine, Footsteps and more, before slowing it down a little with Night Nurse from Gregory Isaacs and some Beres Hammond songs that had the crowd singing along. When THE STAR left at 2 a.m., the party was just getting into full swing.
