The police in the St Catherine South division have taken two suspects into custody in connection with the knife slaying of a Hellshire Park resident.

Dead is Oshane Henry, a 21-year-old labourer of Hellshire Park, St Catherine.

THE STAR was informed that the men, whose names are being withheld, were picked up in Kingston and Portmore, respectively, yesterday.

Police told THE STAR they are to face an identification parade.

THE STAR was informed that Henry was walking along Canary Way in Hellshire Park when he was attacked by three men.

Police reports are that he was chased, held and stabbed repeatedly. He collapsed during the ordeal.

The labourer was taken to the Spanish Town hospital where he died.

Relatives expressed shock at Henry's death. He is the second relative to die violently in a five-month period.

THE STAR was told that the police are still investigating the death of Andre Smith, who was shot to death in October last year.

Councillor for the Hellshire Division, Leon Thomas, said he condemned the killing.
