Name: Chanice Bonner School: Queen's High Date of birth: June 7, 1995 Class: Two Events: 100m, 200m, 4x100m relay Last year's performance: Fifth in Class Three 100 metres final Expectations: To win both the 100 and 200 metres events Main rivals: For me it is Melissa Williams from St Jago in the 100 metres and Shericka Jackson from Vere Technical in the 200 metres. Comment: Bonner has been the most outstanding 100-metre runner this season in a very competitive Class Two. Bonner, who was a member of Jamaica's successful Under-17 4x100-metre team at last year's Junior CAC Games in Santo Domingo, will have to be at her best here as Wolmer's Girls' Cardene Copeland showed that she will be a big threat in the short sprints following her performances at the Carifta Trials.
Name: Lennox Williams School: Manchester High Date of birth: October 23, 1994 Class: Two Events: 200 and 400 metres Last year's performance: First in Class Two 400 metres in 48.25 seconds Main rivals: I think Rohan Walker of Jamaica College is my main rival in the 200 metres while in the 400 metres I see St Jago High's Khadeesh Willis and Keneil Harrison of Munro College as my dangers. Expectations: I will be aiming to win the 400 metres for the second year in a row and to break the record. Comment: Without a doubt, Williams is one of the country's most talented young 400-metre
runners. He has been very consistent in the one-lap event for the past year and he took his great form to the Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC) in Santo Domingo last year where he was victorious in the Boys' Under-17 400 metres. He has been unbeaten all season in the one-lap event and looks a cinch for the event at Champs.
