A St Catherine man who is charged with the murder of a 45-year-old man was again remanded when he appeared before the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. He is Theodore West of McCooks Pen, St Catherine. When he came before Resident Magistrate (RM) Ann-Marie Nemhard, West declared that he was fit to plead. "Your Honour, may I plead my case, nothing is wrong with me," West told the court. The RM told him that he still needed to be examined by a doctor. He was then remanded until April 24 when the matter will be mentioned. Allegations are that in November last year, Hardware was stabbed to death after he attacked the accused. West who was found wearing the deceased pants was subsequently charged with murder. He has made numerous court appearances during which time it was revealed he is suffering mentally. |
