After spending 10 days behind bars at the Constant Spring Police Station, Portmore Empire-affiliated artiste, Shawn Storm, is now singing praises.

According to him, the recent run-in with the law has only served as inspiration for him to record an arsenal of new songs.

Storm spoke of the incident with The STAR saying, "The police said that I jump out a di car wid a gun and hold up a vendor, rob him and jump back inna di car and drive off. Mi see sumting inna di STAR like seh di police waan mi to turn mi self in suh mi do dat and dem hold mi a di Constant Spring Police Station for 10 days, nuh charge or nutten so the court and judge order mi immediate release."

However, the allegations have not affected his career in any way as since being released, he has recorded several new songs. Among them include, Cheat Again on the Real Spazzie rhythm, Gal Yuh Nuh Beg on Macho Kid's Get Real rhythm and Dem Badmind, Seh She Caan Get Enough, Tell Everybody and Gal Waan Roll With Me all being done for producer Notnice.

Storm maintained that he will continue to fight his obstacles through music.

"Wi fight our obstacles and challenges inna life with music because a music wi do enuh. Even when the fans hear dat dem know seh that couldn't be true. Dem a try style da youth yah wah a rise," he said.

He said he does not know the legitimacy of his detention as he was to go on identification parades at the Central Police Station, downtown Kingston, and no one turned up on the two occasions.

"I don't know if somebody actually file a complaint enuh, or the police was just picking on mi because mi go di identification parade twice and the two time dem nobody nuh turn up fi do it," he said.

As for his plans for the remainder of the year, Storm said: "Di ting tun up fi di rest a di year to the maximum. A just more music."
