Cabinet gives approval to build new houses |

|
The National Housing Programme has received approval from Cabinet to sign contracts for housing solutions in Hellshire, Portmore. These are projects of the Ministry of Water and Housing. There is also approval for town houses at Stadium Gardens, St Andrew. The approvals were announced by Minister with responsibility for information, telecommunications and special projects, Daryl Vaz, at a post-cabinet press briefing on Wednesday, March 16. A total of just under $1.2 billion has been approved by Cabinet for Ashtrom Building Systems to design and construct houses and infrastructural works for 226 housing solutions for Phase Four of the Hellshire Housing Development in St Catherine. Alcar Construction and Haulage Company was approved to
construct 50 two-bedroom town houses at Phase Three of Stadium Gardens in St Andrew. |
