Owners of the East Japanese Restaurant kicked off its sixth anniversary celebrations with a soirée of over 400 people at the Stone Love headquarters recently.

Guests included members of the Red Cross who were invited to receive the proceeds of the party towards aiding the victims of the massive earthquake and resultant tsunami that devastated Japan on March 11.

According to Kazumi 'Taka' Utoguchi, managing director, he was extremely appreciative of the patrons' supports, which included artistes, business owners and regular patrons of the restaurants.

"Thanks to everyone who made contributions to the Japanese Relief Fund," he said.
