Psychiatric evaluation for accused thief |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer A St Catherine woman who stole a quantity of beauty products from the Woolworth Department Store was remanded for Psychiatric evaluation in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. She is Andrea Linton, 39-year-old labourer of St Johns Road, Spanish Town, St Catherine. When the case was mentioned before Resident Magistrate Marcia Dunbar-Green on Wednesday, the accused was ordered remanded. "This accused needs to be checked out by a medical personnel and get the treatment needed," Green said. Allegations are that on March 3 Linton went into the store at the Sagicor Shopping Centre in Spanish Town. She picked up six bottles of lotion, seven bottles roll-on, baby oil and body spray valued at $10,000. She is to return for sentencing April 4. She was not represented when she appeared. |
