Big turnout at bacchanal

St Vincent artiste Skinny Fabulous waves a Jamaican flag during his performance at the Bacchanal Jamaica Carnival Fête.

With the venue almost to its maximum capacity, revellers who turned up at Bacchanal held at Mas Camp last Friday night seemed to have a grand time as they 'palanced' to soca music mixed with a dash of dancehall.

Songs such as Machel Montana and Busy Signal's Push Bumper, Demarco's Love A Come Down and Allison Hinds' Roll It had ladies gyrating all night while K'naan's Wave Your Flag made them did just that as bandanas and flags littered the air as the song's chorus rang out.

At approximately 12:45 when Vincentian soca artiste Skinny Fabulous took the stage he gave a high-energy set and had patrons "charging up" throughout his entire set.

"Let me see you wave on the spot. If you come from Trinidad show me wah yuh hand a seh, if you come from Jamaica show mi wah yuh hand a seh!" he shouted before going into songs such as Charge Up and Place Mash Up, among others.

The women were out in their numbers.
