Another robbery at Spanish Town Hospital |

The Spanish Town Hospital has been hit by criminals for the second time within a year after a gunman invaded the property on Friday morning and robbed employees of cash and jewellery, before injuring a doctor. The incident occurred about 2 a.m. while employees on the night shift were at work. Reports are that workers were busy when a gunman invaded the institution. It was said that a doctor was walking on the compound when he was attacked. The man robbed him of money and items of jewellery. However, before leaving the criminal assaulted the doctor. Personnel employed to the institution have expressed anger about the incident. "For too long we have expressed major concerns about proper security on the compound ... This is not the first incident," a doctor told THE STAR. first incident This is the second incident in a year. On July 16 last year, about 6:30 p.m., two males, including a teenager, invaded the premises. They set about robbing staff of their personal possessions.
