It was excitement and anticipation on Saturday night at the eastern eliminations for Dancin' Dynamites as the best from the east came out in hope of cementing their place in the studio round.

Deejay Kiprich entertained patrons at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre with songs such as Ugly So, Ova MiShoulder, Caan Get Brown and Telephone Ting, before the dancers took the stage. He even displayed his dancing skills, schooling two female dancers from Sweden in 'swagging'.

Red Alert was the first group to hit the stage dancing to songs such as, Pon Di Floor, Billie Jean and Move Your Body. The audience enjoyed them, especially the antics they included in their performance.

Cramp Dem followed and for their entertaining dance routine received a monstrous applause from the crowd. All eyes were on them as they put on a magic show, making a white cap seem to float in the air. They did very good and as judge, Kimberly 'Weezy' Hammond puts it, "Winnings!"

failed to impress

However, their CD was stopped prematurely and they did their routine again, receiving another round of good applause.

Clad in black and gold costumes, Progressive Dancers presented an energetic, well put together piece.

Infamous dancers also got 'winnings' from Weezy. They had a good performance dancing to mainly hip-hop songs and moved their bodies in sync with almost every beat that the songs had. The audience enjoyed that as showed by their applause.

Afta Lyphe who came out well costumed in blue ninja suits fell flat in their performance and failed to impress the audience and the judges as they said that the costumes made them believe the routine would be good.

Keida's Can't Get Enough introduced New Elite, a pair of female dancers to the stage. Their routine presented good choreography and judge, Kerry-Ann Henry advised them to include more energy in their moves.

Cool Squad who danced to songs such as Star Bwoy, Clearer and Paranoid, was another of the night's boring performances as the crowd remained silent throughout most of their performance.

Supreme Blazers started their performance banging with a good costume and acrobatics. They maintained that and had one male audience member shouting, "Bap, bap!" throughout their routine.

good performance

Upon entrance, returning entrants Kleva K's got a strong applause as they entered the stage. They had a good performance until difficulties arose and they had to start over.

The last contestants of the night, White Gold, did poorly as Henry said she was confused as to what happened in their performance and Weezy shared a similar view as she said their choreography was boring and asked, "Where is the choreography?"

A group of young dancers, none looking over fourteen years old, took to the stage shortly after and did well in entertaining the audience.

The judges did a good job of advising the groups about what they can do to improve their performances. Henry's advice of making a smoother transition into the dances when a song change occurs should do well for the dancers.

This season of Dancin' Dynamites will be aired on CVM TV with repeats throughout the week.
