Dear Pastor,

I would not date anyone who has any communicable diseases, especially HIV/AIDS. My motto is to never have unprotected sex for the rest of my life. I dated someone for years who believed in the use of condoms and dental dams like myself. I hate having unprotected sex.

The American Medical Journal has stated that a person with full-blown AIDS can reinfect a partner with a stronger strain than the strain that he or she has. So, they recommend that even HIV-positive partners should use condoms.

I could not feel sexually attracted to someone who has AIDS. In addition, the use of multiple condoms is not safe, as they may become slippery and fall off.

Dear J.B.,

I understand why you have taken the position that you would never date anyone who is HIV positive or has AIDS. I would say most people in Jamaica would not, don't condemn those who would. And we need to remind ourselves that some people did not become infected with the HIV virus due to carelessness. Shouldn't these people be made to feel loved, and deserve partners and children? Should the public expect them to only date other infected persons? Why?
