I am a 17-year-old female who has never had sex. I always fantasise about having sex, but when I am around my boyfriend my mood for sex is gone. I keep on thinking about the possibilities of pregnancy and HIV/AIDS. My boyfriend said that in order for our relationship to work, sexual activities must take place, not just hugs and kisses. I don't want to lose him because he treats me with respect.

I am having a discharge and it carries a bad odour. I have been to the doctor twice and the medication has not worked. If I have sex with my boyfriend, can I pass on this infection to him?

Everybody fantasises from time to time. That is quite normal. The big challenge you have is to decide whether you are prepared to have sex with your boyfriend as he is requesting or demanding. He has declared that, for the relationship to be meaningful, both of you have to engage in sexual intercourse. He can say what he wants, but you do not have to agree.

Sex will not necessarily bring both of you closer. It may drive you apart, because after a while he might become fed up of you and go his way. So, don't allow him to fool you.

Concerning the unusual discharge that you are experiencing, go back to your doctor and explain to him/her that it has not stopped. And please do not have unprotected sex. Discuss sexual activities with your doctor.
