Two men charged with unlawful possession of property pleaded not guilty to the charge when they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

The are Marvin Gray, 27, and and Earl Tabanna, 50, both from Kingston 2 addresses.

The men were remanded until March 16 when the matter will be tried.

Allegations are that on February 23, about 6:45 p.m., a police team was on mobile patrol along Hypolite Road, Kingston 2, when two men were seen standing beside a grey pickup. Upon seeing the police one of the men ran and jumped over a fence.

The vehicle was searched and a total of 16 five-gallon barrels of gas oil were found. When questioned by the police the men were unable to account for the items.

They were arrested and charged.
