Half Pint delivers stellar performance

"Greetings to all Raggamuffins" was the warm-welcome salutation by reggae music legend, Half Pint, as he delivered three stellar performances at three of the largest annual reggae festivals in North America this past President's Day weekend in California and Mexico.

Popular Los Angeles-based band, Quinto Sol, skilfully backed Pint as he performed his large catalogue of hit songs such as Mr Landlord, Substitute Lover, Winsome, Just Be Good, and others.

He headlined the festival shows along with Bunny Wailer, Rebelution, Gyptian, Horace Andy, Leroy Sibbles featuring The Lions, Romain Virgo, and Etana at the 30th annual Raggamuffins Festival at the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, CA, on Saturday, February 19, and the 30th annual Tribute To The Legends Festival in San Diego, CA, on Monday, February 21 to capacity crowds of 15,000 fans.

Pint also made his debut on a very rainy night in Mexico on Friday, February 18 in the famed border town of Tijuana at the 7th annual One Love Peace Festival along with reggae veteran Horace Andy and Tosh-1 (Peter Tosh's son).

Half Pint has enjoyed a long history of success in the international music industry dating back to the early 1980s. His first big hit, Winsome, was later covered by the Rolling Stones in 1986 and the anthemic mega-hit Greetings is known worldwide as his signature song. A new album plus singles releases are in store for Pint in 2011, as well as a full worldwide tour.
